 In this webinar, we will cover pressure regulators for Gas Distribution Systems. Topics to be discussed will include regulator theory and operation, control, loading and sensing elements, balance of forces, and understanding a flow curve. We will also cover performance criteria including lock-up, droop, choked flow, and optimal flow as well as the effects on performance such as creep, supplied pressure effect, Joule-Thompson, flow coefficient, and noise.

Pat Duffy

Pat Duffy holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Fairfield University. He has been with Swagelok for over 40 years and has worked with customers that have applications in a wide variety of markets from defense, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, R&D, fuel cells, automotive, fossil power, and nuclear power. He teaches Swagelok Essentials Classes on Tube Fitting Installation, Tube Bending, Medium and High Pressure Cone & Thread, Regulators, Valve Selection, Hose Selection, and Installation Inspection.

Dan Manuzzi

Dan Manuzzi holds a Master of Business Administration from Indiana University’s Kelley Direct program as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Connecticut. He started with Swagelok 4 years ago as a Field Engineer and is now the Engineering Services Manager. He has experience in food & beverage, biopharmaceutical, pulp & paper, power, oil & gas, semiconductor, and consumer product industries. He is successful at all levels of engineering from the nuances of design to the broad scope of project management.
