Introduction to Metal Additive Manufacturing Using Binder Jetting-AM’s Solution for MIM and Cast PartsAdditive Manufacturing (also known as 3D printing) is rapidly moving into mainstream manufacturing. Binder Jetting is an additive technology that allows you to make complex metal parts faster and more cost effectively than many other forms of AM and traditional manufacturing processes. Binder Jetting can be used to either make end-use parts directly in metal powder (without a mold), or it can be used to make sand molds for the traditional casting process. For end-use parts, the parts created using this technology are equivalent to MIM (Metal Injection Molding). It can also be used by the casting industry to create the mold. Learn what binder jetting is, industry case studies, and how it might benefit your business. This introductory seminar is intended for people interested in learning more about Binder Jetting – how it works and how it can be applied. Workshop Objectives:
Money for Manufacturing is available for eligible CT manufacturers through the Additive Manufacturing Adoption Program (AMAP) directly supporting your adoption of additive technologies into your company. Applications for this selective, $100,000 matching grant will be accepted April 1, 2021 to May 31, 2021 and is funded by the CT Department of Economic and Community Development and administered by CCAT.
