Want More Details?

This event is a fun, laid-back night of networking with businesses from across New England and NC. Last year people were so engaged in conversations and enjoying the evening that we didn't have many pictures to share with you because we forgot to take pics!  (Don't worry, we captured enough so you can see how it went.)

We kick off the night with our welcome from Executive Director Walker Potts at 5:20 pm, with the main gate remaining open to join the event by 6 pm, when our guest speaker, Emil Casciano, Vice President of Groton Operations at General Dynamics Electric Boat, takes center stage to share a short talk with you.

After Casciano's talk, you can take tour the historic Charles W. Morgan; enjoy time eating a catered barbeque-styled meal while connecting with NMC members, community partners, allies, and guests; and participate in a fun corn hole competition.

We encourage you to take pictures throughout the evening and share them on social media. If you like to live in the moment, snap the pic and then share it the next day! We loved seeing your pictures from last year and look forward to you sharing new ones with us this year by tagging us on social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter and using #NMCBBB24). We also will have a professional photographer provided by our Silver Sponsor Firesite Films so you can focus on connecting with others!

Tickets: Members $55; Community Partners $60; Guests $75.

SOLD OUT!

*This year, spouses/partners pay the same rate as the person purchasing the ticket.
Be sure to add them as a Guest to your purchase so you receive the discount for them.

 Tips for a Successful Evening:

  • Dress comfortably and be ready to connect with others. We are in a venue where they have weddings and large events, so there is plenty of seating and room to spread out at high-top and banquet tables. You can also venture onto the docks and gravel to enjoy the campus around the Clagett Boat Shed.

    • Boat tours will require walking from the Clagett Boat Shed to the Charles W. Morgan. Consider this when considering footwear and apparel. Plan to walk about a half mile throughout the evening and to navigate rocky paths if you plan to enjoy the tour and lighthouse scenery!

  • Bring business cards - virtual and/or paper. Don't miss the chance to connect because you aren't prepared.

  • Bring cash or cards for your beverages. We provide the meal with your entry fee, but you purchase your beverages. The cash bar will include water ($5.00), soda ($5.00), and a selection of beers ($9.50) and wines ($11.00).

  • Stay as long as possible and have fun! The event runs from 5 - 8:30, try to make all of it so you don't miss a possible connection. Those who stayed for the full event last year left full with plenty of new, genuine connections.

    • Fun fact: Sunset is scheduled for 8:04 pm, so our event is perfectly timed for some great river sunset photos with your colleagues and fellow NMC community members. Your marketing teams will thank you for some great user-generated content (and we will too!).

  • Take pictures of your memorable moments and connections and then share them on social with #NMCBBB24. Tag us on LinkedInFacebook, and / or Twitter so we can share them too. Let's make magic with our hashtag and get your company seen by others who don't attend the event as well as those who do.
